Yjwl series Elbow flowmeter Can be directly linked into DCS The system is suitable for various industrial sites , It can be used as a long-term flow monitoring device. Elbow flowmeter mainly consists of elbow sensor, special instrument or DCS System, differential pressure transmitter and some pipeline valve components. When temperature and pressure compensation is required for flow measurement, pressure transmitter, temperature transmitter and temperature sensor shall also be equipped. The product is a new generation of differential pressure flow measurement system designed and manufactured according to the theory of fluid mechanics and dynamics.

Elbow flowmeter is widely used in the measurement of liquid, gas and steam in metallurgy, chemical industry, thermoelectricity, textile, pharmaceutical, petroleum, natural gas, papermaking, tobacco, food processing, heating and other industries.

When the fluid flows through a pipe at a certain temperature and pressure, the fluid will make corresponding circular rotation movement when it flows through the elbow. According to the theory of forced swirling flow, the circular motion of fluid in the pipe is similar to the circular motion of solid in space. Therefore, the fluid will inevitably produce inertial centrifugal force. The centrifugal force is related to the velocity of fluid, the density of fluid and the curvature half diameter of circular motion (i.e. the curvature radius of elbow sensor).

Since the flow velocity of the fluid can be measured accurately by the curvature sensor of the main pipe, the flow velocity of the fluid can be measured by the pressure sensor on the bent pipe. As long as the centrifugal force is measured (indirectly measured by differential pressure transmitter), the velocity of fluid in the pipeline can be measured. The flow rate of fluid can be calculated and determined by multiplying the flow rate by the cross-sectional area of the pipeline and the density of the fluid.
